Specialties: Individual direction; especially with those who find themselves “spiritually homeless,” doubting, angry, or questioning what they once held true. Style of Direction: Savoy approaches direction sessions with curiosity and acceptance, listening deeply for the resonance of the Divine in the grit of everyday life. She asks questions and offers her undivided attention and reflection as a tool for increasing your sense of Divine movement in your life. She considers spiritual direction a radical act of resistance in a culture consumed with doing. Personal Information: Originally from New York, Savoy enjoys exploring the wonders of California, especially those that include water, and spending time with friends and family. Books are her love language and she may be known as an impulsive book buyer! She is an emerging Scholar with the Society for the Study of Christian Spirituality and a member of Spiritual Directors International. Her research interests include theopoetics, interfaith dialogue, and the impact of the emerging cultural logic - metamodernism on the shifting religious horizon. Her writing can be found at savoystevens.com. On Spiritual Direction: Spiritual direction is a radical act of resistance in a culture consumed with certainty, overexposure, and noise. |
