Style of Direction: Together we listen for an invitation to the presence and invitation to the mystery we call God in the stories and experiences you bring for sharing. Personal Information: My life experiences of love, suffering, death, laughter, recovery, healing and adventure make me curious. My love of art, teaching and coaching opens my eyes to see the beauty and potential of each person. I am a former California Public School teacher. My current artistry is as a metalsmith and iconographer. All of these experiences inform me as a listener. Denominational Affiliation: While steeped in both Protestant Evangelicalism and Catholic traditions, I was raised as a Christian in a Muslim country. I hold a wide and generous ecumenical Spirituality. Specialties: I offer Individual and Group Spiritual Direction. I am a Contemplative Retreat Leader with a special interest in the creative process and art. I offer Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Trauma informed Spiritual Direction. My work includes the International Community, people with varied religious affiliations and traditions, parents, anyone in life transition, Third Culture Kids (TKCs), those who have been incarcerated or formerly incarcerated, and anyone who finds their way to me on their spiritual journey. Training & Experience: Graduating from Spiritual Directors Institute in 2011. Currently Level 1 trained and a Program Assistant for Internal Family Systems programs with the IFS Institute. Participating in IFS Level 2 Training focused on Spirituality, and Interpersonal Group Dynamics. Certificated Meditation Leader from Sage Institute. A graduate of The Center for Action and Contemplation (CAC) The Living School, my work is influenced by RIchard Rohr, and trauma work with Jim Finley. Strongly influenced by MBSR. (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Meditation). I am a SoulCollage® Facilitator. |
